Our People

In many ways the Amish and Mennonites are like everyone else. Yet they are also quite different from most of their neighbors. Mennonite and Amish life inspire questions about issues such as dress and simplicity, German and English, war and peace, farming and professions, education and schools, and beliefs and bundling. In this third edition of Our People, Levi Miller’s text and Doyle Yoder’s Amish photos capture the spirit, beliefs, history, unspoken assumptions, and self-understandings of the Ohio’s fascinating Amish and Mennonite communities.
